1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are only applicable in the following circumstances:

  • Cancellations by Customer: If you cancel your booking in accordance with our cancellation policy.
  • Cancellations by Ceylon Private Taxi Tour: If we are unable to provide the booked services due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., vehicle breakdown, weather conditions, etc.).

2. Cancellation by Customer

If you decide to cancel your tour, the following refund schedule applies:

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled tour: You will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours but more than 24 hours before the tour: A partial refund of 50% of the total tour cost will be issued.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour or in case of no-show: No refund will be provided.

3. Cancellations by Ceylon Private Taxi Tour

If Ceylon Private Taxi Tour needs to cancel or reschedule your tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather conditions, natural disasters, vehicle breakdowns), we will provide you with the following options:

  • Full Refund: A full refund of the tour cost if you choose to cancel your tour due to our inability to provide the service.
  • Rescheduling: The option to reschedule the tour at a later date, subject to availability.

4. Refund Process

  • Refund Requests: Refund requests can be made via email or phone. Please include your booking details (such as booking reference number, tour date, and the reason for cancellation) when requesting a refund.
  • Processing Time: Once a refund request is approved, it will be processed within 7–10 business days. Refunds will be issued using the same method of payment used during booking (e.g., credit card, bank transfer).
  • Bank Charges: Any bank or transaction fees incurred during the refund process will be the responsibility of the customer.

5. No Refund Policy for Certain Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Failure to Arrive at the Scheduled Pick-up Location: If you do not show up at the agreed-upon pick-up location at the specified time, the tour will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be provided.
  • Early Termination of the Tour: If you decide to end your tour earlier than planned, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the tour.
  • Non-compliance with Terms: If the traveler does not comply with our travel policies (e.g., engaging in unsafe behavior, damaging property), a refund will not be issued.

6. Special Circumstances

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, family emergencies), we will consider a refund or rescheduling on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible with supporting documentation for such requests.

7. Changes to the Refund Policy

Ceylon Private Taxi Tour reserves the right to amend or update this refund policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or through direct communication with affected customers. The most current version of this refund policy will always be available on our website.
